Color Inspiration: New Orleans

Back from my New Orleans Halloween retreat; one of my favorite cities to visit. It is unique and full of history, great food, old haunts, delicious cocktails, and architecture you won't find anywhere else in the south.

New Orleans color palette:

Facade of the Saint Louis Cathedral on a clear day. Resting place of Marie Laveau.

Ceiling paint of wooden porches all over town.

Brightly painted homes and walls. Also, New Orleans at sunset in the fall.

Green and white striped awnings of the powdered sugar-coated Cafe Du Monde.

Ornate wrought iron railings and trellises found on many hotels and homes.

Boo! Skeletons in the French Quarter.
